Meet Spencer Petersen

I'm Spencer. I'm a turkey hunter, and I started The Spurred Bird Co. in Plano, Texas because I enjoy preserving wild turkeys and helping other hunters remember the hunts that mattered to them.

Every bird that comes through the studio is mounted by me personally, from intake through finish. There's no production line and no handoffs — when you drop a bird off or ship one in, I'm the one working on it.

The studio focuses on wild turkeys. I also take a limited number of upland birds — pheasant, quail, chukar, and grouse — around the turkey schedule.
