Custom Wild Turkey Taxidermy

The Spurred Bird Co. is a one-person studio focused on wild turkey taxidermy — Rio Grande, Eastern, Merriam's, and Osceola. I also take a limited number of upland birds (pheasant, quail, chukar, and grouse) around the turkey schedule.

Poses

I mount every common turkey pose. If you're not sure which one fits your bird or the space, send photos and I'll help you pick.

• Full strut — tail fanned, wings dropped, gobbler in display.
• Flying — wings extended, tail spread. Great for a wall or beam.
• Standing — relaxed, alert. Shows off the beard and body.
• Wall pedestal / half mount — head, neck, and upper breast, often with a wing extended.
• Custom habitat bases — built for the bird and where you hunted it.

Location and shipping

The studio is in Plano, Texas. I work with hunters throughout DFW and the rest of the state, and I regularly take birds shipped in from other states. Contact me before shipping so we can go over packing and any paperwork.
